An introduction to the Orbit Group:
It all began in 2004,The founder, Md. Sumon Ahmed Khan, hit upon the Orbit ®name in 2004. He took the words Orbit, meaning “Towards the destination. Orbit is the name and the idea behind The Company. Orbit is a key element in product’s growth and development, and business stimulates the imagination, the emergence of ideas, and creative expression. It is Orbit philosophy that “Towards the destination” enriches a Business – and its subsequent Growth. With this in mind, the Orbit Group has developed and marketed a wide range of products, all founded on the same basic philosophy of learning and developing through play. True to its motto – Only the best is good enough –the orbit Group has emphasized the importance of high quality throughout its 12 year history, ensuring that consumers Return to Azuba products again and again. At the same time the Orbit product means that many thousands of business elements can be easily combined in innumerable ways and just as readily dismantled again. The more product’s you have, the More fertile your creativity can be come, and there are hours of play in the product’s that you don’t find elsewhere. Client’s is an ever changing world, and the company’s product development departments therefore work systematically with the evolution of familiar themes and product lines based on research among principal and client’s into Things like habits, patterns and conditions. Added to this is the fact that a combination of systematization, logic and unlimited creativity activates learning through play in a Very special way which – in an age of increasing demands upon the client’s learning and ability to solve complex problems – caters uniquely for tomorrow’s child. It is for this reason that we are frequently cited by many leading organizations and individuals as an especially creative material used in learning contexts by institutions and primary throughout the world. The clients of the future will have plenty of things to play with. Consumer electronics is a tough competitor to traditional products. The Orbit Group has a global work force of approx. 800 people, all of them employed in one of the four business areas illustrated below. The organization chart also illustrates the areas of responsibility of Group Management after changes introduced in 2014 as part of the Orbit Group’s strategy, Shared Vision. Corporate Management comprises the Managing Director and four Executive Director, each with their own business area.
Idea and production:
Concept and product development takes place primarily at the company’s head office but the orbit Group also has listening posts in Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet in order to monitor the latest trends. The creative core is made up of 10 designers representing about 15 different Items. Most of the designers have trained at design in various parts of the country. The orbit Group, however, does not formally stipulate that its designers must have such a training; selection is based on hands on work and face to face in reviews. Orbit products are manufactured at the Group’s own factories in Dhaka.
